Iran Says It Thwarted a Drone Attack on a Munitions Facility
But some Telegram channels, including that of Sepah Cyberi, which is affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps, accused Israel and its agents inside the county of being behind the attack and warned "experience has shown that Iran will retaliate." "Wait for rogue drones hitting Zionist oil tankers," its posting said. Iran and Israel have been engaged in a shadow war on land, sea, air and in cyberspace for the past three years, with Israel carrying out strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities and assassinating scientists and a senior military official. During the tenure of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Israel also started targeting Iranian defense and military officials and key infrastructure. Mr. Bennett called it the "octopus doctrine" of striking inside Iran to damage its capacity to arm proxy militias in the region hostile to the Jewish state.

Was Israel behind drone attack on Iran military installation?
Israel appears to have been behind a drone attack on a military factory in Iran, United States officials say. Iran said on Sunday that it intercepted drones targeting the facility near the central city of Isfahan, adding there were no casualties. The extent of damage could not be independently ascertained. Iranian state media released footage showing a flash in the sky and emergency vehicles at the scene. Israel was behind the drone attack, The Wall Street Journal cited unnamed US officials and people familiar with the strike as saying.

Iran suffers drone strike days after US and Israel launched joint military drill in the region
U.S. Central Command and the IDF are taking part in a joint-military exercise known as'Juniper Oak,' that is taking place in Israel and the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. An explosion at an Iranian military facility Saturday evening, which authorities said was the result of a drone strike, comes just days after the United States and Israel conducted joint military drills in the region. Iran's authorities announced Saturday that bomb-carrying drones targeted a "workshop" that operates for the Iranian Ministry of Defense in the central city of Isfahan, causing some damage. The officials did not disclose what the factory produces and said the attack was "unsuccessful." "One of (the drones) was hit by the ... air defense and the other two were caught in defense traps and blew up. Fortunately, this unsuccessful attack did not cause any loss of life and caused minor damage to the workshop's roof," Iranian defense officials said in a statement, according to state news agency IRNA.

US slaps sanctions on Iranian drone and missile production
The United States has announced that it is sanctioning Iranian industries that produce ballistic missiles and drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which the US says have been used to facilitate Russia's war in Ukraine. In a news release on Friday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the sanctions would target seven people in leadership positions at Qods Aviation Industries -- an Iranian UAV manufacturer -- and Iran's Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO), which manages the country's ballistic missile programme. "Iran has now become Russia's top military backer," Blinken said in the statement. "Iran must cease its support for Russia's unprovoked war of aggression in Ukraine, and we will continue to use every tool at our disposal to disrupt and delay these transfers and impose costs on actors engaged in this activity." Iran is fueling Russia's war in Ukraine with its provision of UAV technology. Today, the United States sanctioned seven people involved in Iran's UAV and ballistic missile programs – programs Moscow is using to target Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

Iranian-made drone deployed by Russia in Ukraine contained parts made by 13 US companies
A Ukrainian intelligence assessment has found that a single Iranian-made attack drone launched by Russia contained parts made by more than a dozen US companies. The Iranian Shahed-136 drone, downed during an attack last fall, contained 40 components manufactured by 13 different American companies, according to a CNN report citing the assessment. For months, Russia has been hammering Ukraine's civilian infrastructure with waves of drone attacks, which are designed to overwhelm air defenses and demoralize the population. Though the company that built the drones, Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation (HESA), has been under US sanctions since 2008, Iran appears to be obtaining the sophisticated electronics using intermediaries. To investigate the issue, the White House last month launched an'all hands on deck' task force involving agencies from across Washington - including the departments of Defense, State, Justice, Commerce and Treasury. Part of a downed Iranian-made Shahed-136 drone launched by Russia is seen near Kupiansk, Ukraine.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister: 'No greater threat' than Russia, seeks to preserve 'global rules-based order'
Lithuania's Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, talked with Fox News Digital about Russia, China and the'global rules-based order' on the 20th anniversary of his country joining NATO. Lithuania commemorated its entry into NATO this last week and its long-standing partnership with the U.S. as leaders look ahead to the increasingly complex security landscape developing around the world. President George W. Bush visited the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius 20 years ago to welcome the country into the still-growing NATO alliance, applauding the character of member states to "stand in the face of evil, to have the courage to always face danger." "President [George W.] Bush made the most famous speech any American has ever made in Lithuania exactly 20 years ago," Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview. "That was even before we were a member of NATO, and it was probably the most important security guarantee that we got before Article Five started covering us with its umbrella."

Israel, US point to Iran after drone strikes Israeli-controlled tanker off Oman's coast
Netanyahu spoke to Fox News Digital following the release of his new memoir, "Bibi: My Story." Officials in Israel say Iran is responsible for a drone strike that hit an Israel-associated, Liberian-flagged oil tanker off the coast of Oman on Tuesday. The tanker, the Pacific Zircon, sustained minor damage to its hull with no injuries or spillage of the gas oil cargo, Israeli-controlled Eastern Pacific Shipping said Wednesday, and an Israeli official said Iran was responsible. Three maritime sources told Reuters that a drone was suspected to have attacked the tanker. An Israeli official said Iran was responsible for the attack by using a Shahed-136 drone, the type it has been supplying to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine.

Oil tanker hit by armed drone off coast of Oman: Official
An oil tanker associated with an Israeli billionaire has been struck by a bomb-carrying drone off the coast of Oman amid heightened tensions with Iran, an official has told the Associated Press. The attack happened on Tuesday night off the coast of Oman, the Middle East-based defence official said. The official spoke on Wednesday on condition of anonymity as they did not have authorisation to discuss the attack publicly. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, a British military organisation in the region monitoring shipping, told the AP: "We are aware of an incident and it's being investigated at this time." The official identified the vessel attacked as the Liberian-flagged oil tanker Pacific Zircon.

Assassination drones and bioweapons: The future of warfare?
Will countries need soldiers and fighter pilots in future conflicts, or will drones do the job? Private companies and governments already own huge databases of our DNA and other biometrics, making it easy for drones equipped with facial recognition to target individuals anywhere. In 2018, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he survived a drone assassination attempt. And in 2020, Israel assassinated Iran's nuclear programme chief, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, with an autonomous satellite-operated machine gun. Futurist and security consultant Marc Goodman tells host Steve Clemons about the scientific advances that are benefitting humanity – and those that are making the world a darker place.

Daniel Turner: US can withstand Iranian attack on global oil supplies, thanks to Trump energy policies
Fox Business reporter Jackie DeAngelis on how the U.S. strike will impact oil prices and the economy. The threat Friday by a top Iranian military leader to attack "vital American targets" in or near the Strait of Hormuz – the waterway through which about 20 percent of the world's oil is transported – illustrates why President Trump's pro-American energy policies are critical to our national security. Iranian leaders have promised military action to retaliate for the killing of terrorist Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. drone strike this week that was ordered by President Trump. Soleimani commanded the elite Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and was killed because he was planning deadly new attacks against Americans and others, President Trump and other U.S. officials have said. Senior Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Gholamali Abuhamzeh said Friday that "the Strait of Hormuz is a vital point for the West and a large number of American destroyers and warships cross there."
